Job description

We are hiring for General Maintenance/Material Handler in our machine shop of mills, lathes, and swiss turning.

Key Responsibilities:

• General cleaning and maintenance of shop
• Preventative maintenance of machines per schedule
• Operate Forklift
• Ship and receive large shipments
• Maintain organization of material and maintenance rooms
• Saw materials to size as needed
• Move materials through shop as needed

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Basic machining operations such as polishing or deburring

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing facility preferred
• Ability to read and understand standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, sit, walk and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and noise.
• Occasional bending, stooping, and reaching may be required.
• Manual dexterity for handling small components.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. repeatedly and 50 lbs. occasionally, as required.
